The Abbey Church of St Mary and St Melor
Funerals and Memorials

If you are reading this because you have recently been bereaved, or because you are grieving the loss of a loved one who died some time ago, please accept our condolences.

Whether or not you or the person who has died have any church connections, the Church can offer care and support to you at this difficult time. Together with your chosen funeral directors, we will do everything we can to help you arrange a funeral service, whether in church, at the crematorium or in a cemetery. In church, if you wish, the funeral can take place within the Eucharist (Holy Communion) as a Requiem.

If you have any questions or would like to talk to a priest, please contact the church by emailing contact@amesburyparishchurch.org.

Some time after the funeral service you may wish to hold a Memorial Service in church as an opportunity to remember the person who has died and to give thanks again for their life. The vicar, Fr Darren, would be very pleased to be able to able to help you with this, so please be in touch.
